Introduction
The above vacancy exists at our On-sites Operations department, Vanderbijlpark, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance, operations and project teams regarding operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and long-term reliability improvement of all rotating equipment to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance and operation of this equipment.
Job description
The reliability engineer will also be required to maintain and improve existing preventive, predictive and condition monitoring based reliability programs and collaborate with maintenance leads to pursue consistency between sites, sharing best practices and experiences.
1. Demonstrating competency on reliability processes.
2. Operating Within Agree Parameter (OWAP) Implementation. Data analysis, Bad actor reporting and improvement plans.
3. Managing reliability reporting.
4. Leading continuous rotating equipment reliability improvement initiatives through the development and application of effective reliability strategies.
5. Leading RCA investigation and compliance.
Minimum requirements
1. Minimum B Tech or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the maintenance and operation of large rotating equipment.
3. Must have good solid mechanical technical background.
4. Proven experience on compressor/ rotating equipment operation and maintenance practices.
5. Proven knowledge of reliability engineering principles.
6. Knowledge of vibration analysis and predictive maintenance processes.
7. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office suite with a high degree of proficiency with MS Excel.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong attention to detail and report writing skills.
